Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Pharoah L. Walton, 33, of Chicago, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb to 45 months imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of heroin in February 2010. Walton pleaded guilty to this charge on March 1, 2012.

Walton was arrested by Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force officers on February 24, 2010 in the parking lot of a east-side business after delivering almost 100 grams of heroin. When taken into custody, police found $10,000 in cash in Walton’s possession that he had received in exchange for the heroin.

Walton had been sent to make the delivery by Raydale Mitchell. Mitchell pleaded guilty to the heroin distribution charge on March 1, 2012, and is scheduled to be sentenced on May 17.

The charges against Raydale Mitchell and Pharoah Walton were the result of an investigation conducted by the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Anderson.
